In the Technical Facilities Department in Esbjerg we are looking for a control/instrument engineer. If you are a qualified electrical/instrument engineer or similar, with experience or knowledge from working with control/safety systems ( e.g. SCADA, Fire & Gas systems, Emergency Shut Down systems), preferably supplemented with design of instrument systems for oil and gas treatment plants or similar industries, we may have the right job for you.
This position is a local staff position in Denmark, however, Companys international engagements may on a longer term also offer opportunities for stationing abroad.
The work will primarily take place in the offices in Esbjerg and you will be involved in projects from their conception through detailed design to testing, implementation offshore and subsequent maintenance activities. Furthermore, you will provide technical support to other departments in the organization. Some travel activities abroad as well as visits at our offshore facilities may be expected.
You will join a varied and dynamic, international environment with a high level of activity.
Who we are looking for
Candidates with a professional technical background within control/instrument engineering and experience or knowledge related to design of control systems (ESD, F&G and SCADA systems) and associated field instrumentation. The preferred candidate has knowledge about Functional Safety and Safety Instrumented Systems from the oil & gas or similar industries, especially hazardous area equipment.
We will consider applications from graduate engineers provided you have previous, practical experience from the oil & gas or similar industries.
The preferred person profile is characterized by independence, effectiveness and hands-on understanding supplemented by the ability and desire to find technically and financially optimal solutions. However, the successful candidate will also be a good team-player and motivated by finding optimal cross-disciplinary solutions.
Good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, is a pre-requisite.
