Job Description
A position as Assistant Professor (10% time) is vacant from August 1, 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter) at the ,Department of Clinical Research, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark (SDU). The position is limited to 5years, with the possibility of extension.
Research and teaching
The main tasks of the assistant professor are research and research-based teaching, including exams.
Job description
The assistant professor will be expected to participate in research related to the use of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) in biological treatment of patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including
The assistant professor will be expected to participate in the preparation of specific trial objectives, planning and implementation of studies, data processing and communication of trial results (including preparation of publications).
In addition to the above-mentioned tasks, the assistant professor will be expected to participate in the guidance of younger colleagues, both undergraduate and postgraduate (PhD students).
The candidate who is hired must complete a Lecturer Training Programme during the period of employment.
Expectation of qualifications
Appointment as assistant professor requires scientific qualifications at PhD level according to the applicable note on job structure for academic staff at universities.
Danish language skills are not required initially, however, should be mastered within the first 2 years of employment.
