Do you want to join a dedicated and fun team within logistics and warehousing? With a fundamental human-centered culture, we at Scan Global Logistics are looking for a new 3PL Business Development Manager to help us deliver excellent service to our customers. Is that you?

What can you expect?
In the position of 3PL Business Development Manager, you’ll be in charge of selling our 3PL offerings and ensuring continued business growth for the Fulfillment & Distribution division of SGL (F&D).

You’ll be working at our new headquarters in Hvidovre, and in cooperation with the F&D team, as well as with our sales team on other products, you’ll be the commercial lead that develops and executes sales strategies for the 3PL product.

With this great opportunity at hand, we’re looking for the right person to join us. You aren’t perfect and neither are we. But to guide you as to whether you will thrive with us, here are some specific requirements and job-specific tasks you will be expected to perform:

What we expect you to bring with you

Your mindset and attitude 

  • Ability to drive business growth, implement sales strategies, generate leads and revenue.
  • Understanding of BTB and BTC products and operational practices within 3PL.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience from a similar role within logistics sales (preferable within 3PL).
  • Speak and write English fluently (business negotiation level).
  • Experience with LEAN methods in operational context is an advantage.
  • You can communicate customer requirements to internal operational stakeholders to find the right solutions.
  • You are always looking for and working with continuous improvements in products and flows.
  • Knows the importance of getting details right when working with customer contracts and agreements.
  • Have great people-skills and knows the way around organizations with many layers and levels.
  • Able to switch from a ‘Sales’ to an ‘Engineering’ mindset when working with complex solution sales (and vice versa).

  • The responsibilities you are eager to take on 

  • Prospect for potential new clients and convert leads.
  • KAM function between customers and operations, facilitating efficient and smooth communication lines.
  • Responsibility for the products and solutions we are offering to new and existing customers.
  • Follow up on KPI’s and SLA’s, so that deliveries are always matching contractual terms and obligations and customer expectations.
  • Familiarize yourself with the operational 3PL flows in SGL, so you have thorough understanding of the product you are selling.
