Commercial Product Manager Savoury and Plant-Based Meat

As the Commercial Product Manager of Savoury and Plant-Based Meat, you will be part of the European Product Management team.

Your primary responsibility will be driving and securing the development, performance, and profitability of a commercially attractive portfolio, reflecting market and customer needs in Europe.

You will be the owner of the product portfolio – maintain and develop the right product portfolio and the segmented value propositions, positioning, and profitability expectations across the product portfolio.

You will guide the go-to-market activities from the industry perspective in collaboration with colleagues in both commercial and technical functions. Strategic customer visits and visiting colleagues are part of the job and some traveling must be expected.

Responsibilities

As Commercial Product Manager of Savoury and Plant-Based Meat, your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

- Responsible for translating business strategy into product strategy.

- Review market insights and steer the frontend loading activities. 

- Manage and develop the product portfolio and conduct yearly reviews. 

- Be the gatekeeper for new products and product deletions. 

- Monitor, guide, and set expectations regarding product pricing and margins to ensure profitability targets are met.

- Assessing value proposition and ensuring insights on key differentiators.

- Product launches.

About you

To be successful in the role you:

 -Have a master’s degree in food or similar technical insights, Product Management, Marketing, Commercial, or a similar education. You have a strong track record of go-to-market functions within the B2B - food industry. You have a solid understanding of the financial consequences of relevant business decisions. Insights into the industry on an international level - product lines, key players, and markets are a plus, as well as an understanding of the competition, suppliers, and the regulatory environment.

-Strong communication skills in general and fluent in writing and spoken English.
