PR & Communications Assistant Intern/Volunteer

We're currently looking for a PR & Communications Assistant to join our PR & Communications department and assist us for 8-25 hours a week from early May to the end of September.

As an intern at TechBBQ, you'll have the opportunity to kick-start your career, expand your professional network, and immerse yourself in the exciting world of startups and innovation in Scandinavia.

Since 2013, TechBBQ has worked to support and strengthen the Nordic ecosystem for entrepreneurship and innovation based on the distinctive Nordic values of openness, inclusion, trust, and meeting each other at eye level. As Scandinavia's largest startup and innovation summit, TechBBQ is the perfect place to gain hands-on experience and make invaluable connections.

As a PR & Communications Assistant, you'll be given weekly tasks and receive feedback and mentorship from our experienced Head of Department. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to explore your creativity and contribute to the production of engaging content that showcases the latest in tech innovation and entrepreneurship.

Your tasks will include:

• Be an integral part of external meetings with the Head of PR & Communications.

• Help with outreach mails to the media to support our PR engagement efforts.

• Coordinate with partners and media in regards to announcements for day 1 & 2 of the Summit.

• Create incredible content that drives engagement and promotes TechBBQ.

• Reach new audiences by securing media coverage through press outreach.

• Connect the brightest minds in tech through matchmaking interviews.

• Prepare stunning PowerPoint presentations that leave our audience in awe!

We are looking for someone with:

• Fluency in written English

• Basic knowledge about startups and technology

• Flexible and open-minded personality!

• A doer-mentality, who not only talks, but gets things done!

• Great attention to detail!
