We are looking for a technically- and result oriented, robust and internationally thinking project & procurement manager that will take our project-related activities to the next level whilst ensuring a cost efficient and timely procurement process. We are known for our customer focus, non-hierarchical- and political behaviour as well as wellbeing of our employees. 

The Position: The position as Project & Procurement Manager is newly established with direct report to our Chief Commercial Officer and co-owner. The successful candidate will be overall responsible for our project activities from the time of successful sales to shipment/installation. This will include project management of our largest projects and at the same time supervising our engineers who are executing smaller projects. In addition, the candidate will be overall responsible for all procurement within the Mark & Wedell, at present worth approx. € 2m, including negotiating framework agreements with suppliers, identifying alternative purchasing channels and purchasing. 

The successful candidate will both have an excellent technical understanding of both mechanical and electrical projects, but also at the same time have a vast experience with the commercial aspects of project execution. The candidate shall be able to demonstrate that he/she has delivered complex projects on time, in the right quality and to the estimated costs and a good experience with the procurement process. Fluency in oral and written Danish and English is a requirement.


  • Executing medium / large international project of our JAWO activities (€ 0.5-5m). 
  • Supervising our engineers for small/medium sized projects.
  • Responsible for procurement and purchasing including negotiations
  • Take the lead for internal resource planning including coordination with in-house production and sub-suppliers.
  • Introduce and implement best practice when it comes to project management including monthly reporting of financials, time schedules, resources, risk, claim management, lessons learned etc.
  • Supporting the sales organisation in the ongoing effort to grow the top-line and develop a strong relationship with our stakeholders that comprises of end-customers, EPC´s and distributors 
  • Supporting the executive management in the strategic development of the company
  • Supporting the product marketing function

Qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • 5+ years of high-level project management in the engineering sector, including an outspoken commercial understanding
  • A master / bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or other relevant engineering 
  • Solid negotiating skills
  • Structured and well-organized
  • Demonstrated 5+ years knowledge from the mining/power or similar heavy industries
  • Demonstrated track record of hands on international project management
  • Self-motivated and result oriented, yet a pro-active and pragmatic team player
  • Superior communication skills in Danish and English
  • Additional languages will be an advantage
  • Business travel 20-40 days per year
