Your role

 

We are looking for a new Application Manager to support the Technical Development & Supply organization in maintaining, developing, and supporting two global GxP critical IT systems, LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) as well as Empower. LIMS is an IT system used to plan and document laboratory analysis of our products. Empower is the global chromatography data software used by laboratories in Product Supply. 

 

In this role, you will utilize your subject matter expertise and perform complex assignments.  

 

You will drive and implement continuous improvements and contribute to development initiatives and own and manage the LEO Pharma LIMS & Empower lifecycle. 

This position also works closely with projects, business and technical partners, subject matter experts, end users, technical resources (internal and third-party vendors), senior management, and executives in the delivery and support of LIMS & EMPOWER that ensure that the needs of business users are fully addressed, and continuous improvement is being achieved. 

 

Responsibilities: 

As system owner delegate you will support System Owner to maintain application lifecycle roadmap, manage risk and regulatory requirements, and ensure LIMS & Empower are available and comply with security, application management and regulatory requirements.  

 

  • Identifying opportunities for application optimization, redesign, or process improvement to meet internal and external compliance standards and procedures 
  • You will partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT management to provide a strategic vision for new and supported applications and create system roadmaps  
  • Addressing the various needs, concerns, expectations of stakeholder groups in planning and executing projects, meeting project requirements, and creating project deliverables.  
  • Initiate and drive cooperation along the value chain and with external partners to ensure that solutions and processes can be developed and operated in the most efficient way 
  • Balancing competing activities constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks to accommodate the needs of each user/stakeholder.  
  • Building a strong technical culture around our business systems that emphasizes technical excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences.  
  • Manage application maintenance outsourcing & software contract agreements; Implement and monitor standards around scope management, financial management, service level agreements (SLA), ensure compliance to mitigate risk, increase service/business Impact & reduce costs 
  • Define yearly OPEX budget and provide periodic financial reports pertaining to applications within the scope of responsibility 

 

It is vital that you understand the business processes within Global Product Supply for you to deliver the required IT service. You must have the desire and ability to work both at the strategic and operational level. 

 

Your qualifications  

You will work closely together with the line of business departments, understanding, and bridging their business needs to the system. As LIMS and Empower application manager, you will implement new IT functions and features in the systems to improve and optimize the business processes. This will be done in close collaboration with the rest of the team, the line of business departments, and the vendor. 

 

It is expected that you as our Application Manager have experience working with digitalization in the Global Product Supply Space in a Global Pharma or Medical Device organization and do have experience working with LIMS & Empower.  

 

You have a level of authority and the ability to communicate complex Information Systems and Technology roadmaps in an easily understandable way. With your experience and understanding of the mechanisms of a large organization you can prioritize and balance activities while leading by example. 

 

Professional Qualifications:  

 

  • Engage with Line of Business (LoB) to gather, analyze, and document requirements and help to articulate these into solution designs that can be implemented by your teams. 
  • Have the end-to-end process understanding between LIMS and Empower 
  • Help the technical team to scope and design solutions that meet the user requirements 
  • Support during deviation and problem investigations that include deep-dive investigations into system functionalities, business processes, dialogue with software developers as well as Quality Advisors etc to identify impacted areas/functionality as well as communication to stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with the LoB to ensure that users are always up to date regarding new functionalities, new areas and other relevant information 
  • Act as subject matter expert within both systems and work independently or together with other team members to analyze and resolve issues in both systems 
  • Building collaborative relationships, manage conflicts, have a collaborative mindset and facilitation skills 
  • International mindset and prefers to work in a global organization with both internal and external cultural differences.  
  • Fully proficient in both written and spoken English 
  • Experience with GxP, pharma, IT compliance and release/validation activities  
  • Experience in reviewing documentation such as user requirements, release notes, validation plans and -reports etc. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills required 

 

You have a proven track record with a minimum of 3 years of experience with Laboratory Information Management systems (LIMS), and Empower in large global organizations from the pharmaceutical industry, which has given you a solid analytic approach to problem-solving

You will join a team of highly skilled Delivery professionals including Service Delivery Managers, covering the entire business application portfolio at LEO Pharma’s headquarters in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen. We own and manage the LEO Pharma’s IT applications lifecycle as well as managing the outsourcing providers’ delivery of Global Digital Business Solutions.
