Category Lead (Warehousing)

The position

As Category Lead (Warehousing), you will work closely with the Senior Category Lead and together be in charge of securing efficient and robust category management, both short and long term for our warehousing solutions, globally. You will be based in Denmark and work closely with line of business on the agreements and tenders for our global external warehouses. You can expect to be involved in: Engaging with our suppliers, and stakeholders to secure supply robustness Collaborating with line of business on specification of statement of work for both existing and new requirements for the warehouse solutions Ensuring that category fundamentals, such as contracting, and supplier collaboration structures and risk assessments are all managed timely and according to internal procedures Working closely with projects that are looking into new processes, technologies, and new ways of sourcing to be ahead of the curve Jointly being responsible for supplier relations, budget, risk mitigation and price/contract negotiations to secure the best commercial terms Exploring and creating category transparency across the organization by connecting projects and ideas within different fields, including sustainability, data management, procure to pay, source to contract, etc As you will be working with suppliers and internal stakeholders internationally, you should expect 10 to 20 travel days per year. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to: Hold a master’s degree or equivalent in supply chain, procurement, business, engineering, or any other relevant field Have a proven experience in category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or similar obtained within an international organization or a consulting company Possess strong knowledge about warehouse operations from e.g. pharma or retail Be structured, have an analytical mind Be fluent in English, both written and spoken As a person, you possess a strategic mindset and an ability to quickly understand different business models and industry dynamics. You can put strategy into action by breaking the bigger picture down into specific supply chain related decisions. You are a skilled professional with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of numbers. Last but not least, you enjoy working in a multicultural and high-pace environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’, and a healthy sense of humor to your work also when under pressure. About the department Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. We are responsible for ensuring that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international suppliers, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that helps millions of people around the world to live with chronic. You will be part of a diverse department that ensures global supply of Distribution, Energy and Production supplies and services.
