Category Manager – Personal Care & Beauty

What You'll Do:

In this new and exciting position as Category Manager for Personal Care & Beauty, you’ll ensure our target consumers, and their shopping needs are central to every decision. You’ll drive commercial growth initiatives, ensuring sustainability and profitability are at the heart of everything we do.

• Shape Our Products: Use your experience in the cosmetics and beauty segment to execute the divisional strategy with actionable category plans. Push for continuous improvements and achieve financial targets and profitability goals through a clear understanding of our consumers across all markets and channels.
• Strategic Foundation: Work strategically to build the foundation for our Beauty category, establishing a strong base for future growth and success.
• Boost Sales: Conduct competitor mapping, identify market growth opportunities by country and channel, including social media. Work with Category Directors and Design to shape future commercial themes and build a cohesive product assortment.
• Project-Based Work: Lead and manage projects that set the foundation for our Beauty category, ensuring strategic focus and commercial growth.
• Communicate: Clearly share strategies within the team and with external partners. Use these strategies to create commercial assortment plans that match store grading and price architecture.
• Innovate: Attend fairs, check trend sites, and monitor competitors to ensure we build the best assortments for core and campaign collections. Continuously test and trial new ideas to capture trends and opportunities.
• Optimize: Simplify operations and ensure all deadlines are met. Collaborate with the Product Procurement team to secure delivery of products within cost targets and conduct weekly sales reviews to assess performance.
• Support: Lead, support, and develop a passionate team of Product Managers and Coordinators. Foster cross-functional collaboration to streamline operations and speed up processes.

What You Bring:

• Experience: Proven experience in a buying or category management role within the cosmetics and beauty sector.
• Product Sense: Ability to identify and create commercial winners.
• Business Savvy: Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a thorough understanding of sales analysis.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to create commercially effective assortment plans based on data analysis and market trends.
• Team Leadership: Capability to support and develop high-performing teams, manage effectively through change, and take responsibility for team performance.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, able to analyse data, interpret it, and present confidently and effectively.
• Organized: Structured approach, able to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, showing resilience when faced with challenges.
• Trend Spotter: Forward-thinking with a knack for anticipating consumer trends to identify gaps and opportunities.
• English Fluency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
