Chief Electrical Engineer Onshore Direct Drive

You will coordinate the different design tasks within an assigned project team of mechanical engineers.

Your goal will be to deliver technical solutions meeting the defined requirements based on technical norms and standards.

As our new Chief Engineer, you will be in direct contact with the end customer to understand their needs and to secure the right design change to be developed.

In order to foster the costumer relations, align priorities, apply the latest knowledge and to have influence on our business, you will establish, maintain and develop collaboration with many stakeholders within Product Integrity & Service Technology, Service Operations and Onshore Technology. Leads, develops and motivates a group of dedicated qualified employees and professionals functionally to achieve the targets set.

Ensures adherence to defined guidelines, processes and procedures, for the Engineering Team assigned.

Coordinates Engineering activities performed by a team of professionals and technicians and controls execution according to the organizational guidelines.

Provides suitable work environment and implements people management processes.

May lead a group of dedicated qualified employees and professionals also disciplinary.

May plan and allocate resources and budgets to Engineering projects or activities.

We imagine you have a bachelor’s or master´s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within product development, broad turbine knowledge incl. software control. and Electrical engineering.

Besides being an experienced user in statistic (six sigma or similar) also familiar with 8D reporting, DFMEA, good knowledge of MATLAB, as data is often the key to understanding and solve an issue. is considered an advantage.

You are a motivator and a proactive problem solver, adaptable to change and keep a customer centric approach and an operational mind set.

You thrive with teamwork, networking and want to motivate and couch team members, have a strong desire and ability to drive improvements and change, and master a critical eye when needed to challenge colleagues.

At times working under time pressure and pushing technical boundaries. You must have high focus on closing and following cases to the end.

You have strong communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
