Chief Project Manager - Onshore Blades

In COO, Global Manufacturing we drive the implementation of new products into Vestas' Manufacturing Footprint. We are responsible for the global alignment of tools and processes across our manufacturing area, and we deliver engineering business services and project leadership to the entire COO domain. 

The Chief Project Manager - Onshore Blades is overall responsible for the Manufacturing Footprint planning, budgeting, and execution of Vestas' onshore blades Technology transfer projects across all global manufacturing sites, both internal and external.
• Partnering with Vestas Power Solutions to bring new products out of design and into manufacturing.
• Collaborating with the Global Footprint Team to prepare a multi-year manufacturing plan to meet the overall global customer Turbine blade demand.
• Report to the Strategic Global Ramp steering committee on business risks and opportunities related to onshore blades production startups.
• Guide individual Technology transfer project teams led by project manager and senior project managers, executing new product introductions and technology transfer projects worldwide.
• And, if needed, travel and support the Technology Project teams on site, and help to stabilize and mitigate Risks and Issues.

As Chief Project Manager - Onshore Blades, you:
• Are an experienced project leader with significant business and management experience, ideally gained in heavy industrial, construction or manufacturing industries.
• Have effectively led greenfield development of large manufacturing or industrial sites, including responsibility for construction operations and contract negotiations.
• Have organized manufacturing production launches at multiple sites and across multiple countries simultaneously.
• Are experienced in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments such as automotive, aerospace or energy generation.
• Have + years of progressively complex people and project leadership experience, with project budgets over MEUR
• Are a highly skilled communicator - You are able to tailor communication communications (both written and oral) to suit specific audience needs, matching complexity and detail to fit the situation and to deliver intended results.
• Proficient in communicating with high-ranking officials and guiding in-depth deliberations with a focus on streamlined and evidence-driven outcomes.
• Can aggregate and simplify a large number of reports and data into concise and effective communications.
• Display intelligent courage; is capable of productively leading difficult conversations professionally to arrive at optimal outcomes for Vestas.
• Are in full proficiency in the project management toolbox (Prince2, PMP, IPMA) and is an expert in applying project management principles in real-world situations.
• Have the ability to leverage IT tools and systems to deliver project performance and reporting across multiple sub-projects and dozens of workstreams.
• Encourage project groups to effectively handle risk and actively pursue insights from past experiences to enhance project outcomes.
• Having a background in wind energy industry can be favorable.
