The Role:

The Estée Lauder Companies offer an exciting opportunity as District Manager with the responsibility of leading our Field sales team in department stores and/or perfumeries around West of Denmark (Fyn/Jutland) – where you will be working with a broad portfolio of our global brands.

Your high energy level and strong analytical skills enable you to analyze performance and quickly implement action plans, when and wherever needed. You collaborate with your District Manager colleagues both in Denmark and across the Nordic affiliate, as well as with the Nordic Education team.

You are visible and lead by example, and you thrive on spending time with your team and frequently visit them in-store. You make sure to understand the drivers of our business and our competitors, and you utilize the KPIs of retail and coach your direct reports to do so, too.

You will be reporting to the Danish National Sales Manager and be based in the Nordic head office in Copenhagen though spending most of your time in-store.

As District Manager your key tasks are:

  • Lead and develop a strong Field Team that can achieve sales plans and deliver high-touch customer service.
  • Secure strong plans for staff coverage in your dedicated district, with a particular focus on top doorsand key shopping moments.
  • Develop and nurture strong, effective, and productive business partnerships with our Retail partners.
  • Build a talent pool and secure constant succession planning together with key stakeholders.
  • Implement visual merchandising plans according to guidelines.
  • Secure execution of our trade plans in-store according to the overall retail plan.
  • Lead and execute Instore Events together with Brand Teams.
  • Work closely with the Education team to secure that the sales team meets our high requirements of product knowledge and customer service.


    Qualifications

    Your Qualifications:

  • Strong Retail understanding
  • Proven work experience as District Manager, Area Sales Manager or similar
  • Strong retail skills – you know the retail KPIs and how to use them. Experience from within the Beauty industry is not a requirement.
  • Experience with managing a high-performance sales team
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with the focus to develop and build retail sales and retail leadership capabilities
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics – and execute action plans in a fast-moving retail environment
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • In addition, you understand and speak “Scandinavian” and English at a high level. You have a valid driver license and your own car to use for business driving.
