Job overview 

We are seeking a skilled and proactive .NET Back-end Developer / Production Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET development along with experience in providing production support for mission-critical applications. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving production issues to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of our software systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the deployment of .NET-based applications across various environments, including development, testing, staging, and production. 
• Provide production support for .NET-based applications, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Monitor system health and performance metrics to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy bug fixes, patches, and enhancements to production environments.
• Respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner, following established SLAs and escalation procedures.
• Design, develop, and implement software solutions using the .NET framework and related technologies.
• Write clean, well-structured, and efficient code in C# according to coding standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain web applications, desktop applications, and backend services using Angular, MVC, Web API, or WinForms.
• Design and develop database schemas, tables, stored procedures, and queries using SQL Server or other relational database management systems (RDBMS).
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with architects and senior developers to design software architecture and system components.
• Participate in technical design reviews and provide input on architectural decisions.
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices to build a knowledge base for future reference.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
• Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in production support and .NET development to enhance skills and expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in .NET development, including .Net Core, C#, Angular, Web API and SQL Server.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and implement effective solutions.
• Experience with production support tools and technologies such as monitoring systems, logging frameworks, and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies, particularly Agile and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert are desirable.
• Prior experience in a production support role or technical support role is preferred.
