The position


As our new Facility Operations Professional, you will be responsible for operation, maintenance and development of buildings, facilities and installations under API Business Support administration, and the cohesion between the facility infrastructure, production facilities and projects at site Kalundborg.


The main job tasks include:

  • Drive, maintain and develop the facility management portfolio that resides within API BS and ensure continuous improvement and future consolidation.
  • Lead the implementation of “state of the art” Facility Management procedures, systems, and technologies including service level agreements, contracts, budgets, external craftsmen, and vendors, hereby ensuring compliance with Novo Nordisk and legal requirements.
  • PM for medium sized FM replacement and renovation projects
  • Support planning, design and development of new land areas including green fields, build fields, roads, utility tracé, easements etc. in close cooperation with consultants and authorities.
  • Maintain annual Security risk assessments for administrative buildings, and continuously improve the security level to ensure compliance with NN Security Standards




We expect you to have:


  • A degree in building construction, Facility Management, project management, engineering or similar.
  • +3 years of experience in facility- or project management with a track record within execution of projects and related coordination tasks preferably in a large company structure.
  • Experienced in using best practices and knowledge of business issues to improve FM setup and services.
  • Experience with managing contracts, budgets, and a complex vendor setup.
  • Professional proficiency in Danish.


As a person, you work independently, pay attention to details, and has the ability to plan, visualise and prepare tasks within scope, cost, risk and time.  Moreover, you have strong interpersonal and communication skills to create relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.


About the department

The position is placed in Business Support at our API site in Kalundborg which is part of our global production division; Product Supply – counting close to 30.000 employees worldwide. The API Business Support consists of 100+ [TØ1] highly qualified employees with a multitude of professional backgrounds, all with the common purpose to support our production and implementation of Novo Nordisk strategies within API. At site Kalundborg we produce diabetes and obesity products 24/7, which are continuously distributed to patients worldwide.
