Generative AI engineer

The job

You will play a crucial role in overseeing the technical aspects of Generative AI (GenAI) projects within the Novo Nordisk Foundation. You will be responsible for leading the technical development and ensuring the successful deployment of GenAI applications in alignment with the strategic objectives of the foundation.

 As a recent area of focus, this position offers you unprecedented opportunities to shape the trajectory of GenAI within our organisation.

 Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Lead the technical development of independent GenAI initiatives and integrations to other systems, ensuring they meet standards for quality and security.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements in the field of Generative AI to identify potential applications and opportunities for the Novo Nordisk Foundation, including benchmarking new foundation models.
• Manage backlog of new functionality and changes
• Develop technical guidelines and best practices for GenAI applications and integrations.
• Coordinate with Corporate IT to ensure the necessary systems and tools are in place to support GenAI projects.
• Measure and report on the technical performance of GenAI products.
• Work closely with Data department on ensuring the data foundation to develop current and future GenAI products and services.

 About you

We imagine that you have:

• A master’s degree within computer science, AI, machine learning, data science or related
• Several years of professional experience in technical solution development and deployment, preferably working with generative AI models.
• Proficient in AI principles and technologies, including natural language processing, deep learning, RAG, and vector databases.
• Well versed in effective prompt engineering techniques.
• Experienced in hands-on development in Python or related language.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in problem-solving.
• Knowledgeable about AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
• Experience with the Streamlit framework and Azure environments is an advantage.
