The position
As a leader you will report to the Vice Presidents (VP) of Biostatistics, Diabetes and NIS and be a member of a Biostatistics VP leadership team.
The primary responsibility will be leading a team of highly engaged statisticians and clinical data scientists across seniority levels, including:

Your workplace will be in Søborg but travelling to alternative location should be expected on average 1-2 days a month.
Qualifications
Either, you have a strong leadership track record combined with innovation and change management or you have knowledge of biostatistics or statistical programming and a keen interest in leadership and driving innovation.

About the department
Biostatistics is part of leading product development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction and life cycle management. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions to authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations, and business ethics.
The Global Biostatistics function consists of more than 400 statisticians and clinical data scientists globally with a total of 250 employees located in Denmark. Biostatistics has two sites in Denmark, one in Søborg and one in Aalborg – in total appr. 170 employees in Søborg and 80 in Aalborg. The position as head of the Biostatistics Diabetes and Non-Interventional Studies (NIS) is based in Søborg.
The Søborg site currently consists of nine Biostatistics’ departments All support across our development portfolio within Diabetes, Obesity, RD&AT, cardiovascular and different serious chronic diseases. Novo Nordisk has a broad R&D pipeline and majority of our statistical work is done in-house, thus we offer a wide variety of statistical challenges and provide a strong scientific community. Currently we are also expanding our operating model to include fully outsourced tasks, hence vendor management and oversight is also part of our exciting tasks.
