Head of Engineering

Seeking: A tech wizard to join our crew as Head of Engineering.

The Role

We are looking for a new senior Pilot who can steer the ship on our technical journey, guiding the development cycle of our CyberPilot Application/Platform from discovery to operation.

What you’ll do

• Guide technological direction, from system architecture to prioritizing technical debt, ensuring knowledge sharing, and identifying solutions to ensure progress while adhering to agile development methodologies.

• Spearheaded product initiatives by deeply understanding the strategic objectives, driving technical advancement, and ensuring ongoing stakeholder engagement.

• Manage collaboration with the external Development Team, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Assess resource allocation, manage budgets, and make strategic decisions to maximize ROI.

• Assist Product owners in defining technical requirements and lead scoping efforts for technical design.

• Align the CP App with our overarching vision, prioritize features, and enhance customer value in collaboration with product owners.

• Take charge of the technical platform, ensuring code quality, security, and user satisfaction. Analyze platform performance, optimize infrastructure, and drive process improvements.

• Work closely together with our external development team on delivering high-quality code

You’ll be a part of the Management Team and refer to our CEO, Rasmus Vinge.

What we’re looking for

You're a tech virtuoso with a proven track record in tech development (5-7+ years) with proven leadership skills in senior developer, architect, or tech lead roles, with an ambition for further professional growth.

You excel in both technical prowess and collaborative leadership, driving smooth processes and maintaining a holistic view of projects.

Exceptional decision-making skills, effective communication, and a strategic outlook on software development and team dynamics

Key skills:

• Experience within an agile development environment

• Proficiency in asynchronous programming, Node.js frameworks, and NPM packages.

• String database management skills, including writing complex SQL queries and optimizing performance.

• Experience with code repositories, CI/CD, and server automation.

• Familiarity with RESTful API development and front-end technologies.

• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization, with expertise in security measures like OAuth or JWT.

• Experience in writing unit and integration tests.
