Head of Foundation Management

In the Foundation unit in Project Delivery & Engineering we are delivering foundation solutions and project management to our development, new build and spinning assets in offshore wind. Within this team, we are now looking for a new head of the department Foundation Management. The Foundation Management department is driving both the manufacturing of foundations for new build offshore wind farm projects and managing the development of new foundation solutions. The central competency of the team is project management, but also to ensure the capture of learning and building on foundations manufacturing experience across the past and current projects in order for us, together with our key suppliers, to keep evolving and further maturing the industry and the way we bring our projects to life.

As Manager of Foundation Management in Offshore Wind you have the following key responsibilities:

• Promote a strong safety culture across our projects and with our suppliers
• Supply manufacturing management to projects, handling negotiations and contractual deliveries.
• Supply competent project resources for executing projects.
• Secure smooth transition between project phases.
• Drive a strong standardization of offshore foundations and enable us to capitalize on the learnings build in the industry until now
• Take part in driving strategic and business initiatives across the Project delivery & Engineering organization
• Participate in technical and commercial supplier interactions with key suppliers for offshore foundations to ensure best market knowledge and continuously evolving our supplier collaboration. 
• Management of the team including securing continued high engagement and development of people and competences.
• The location of this position is flexible in either Kolding or Hamburg. Regular business trips are required.

Your profile / who are you?

We are looking for an inclusive and communicative leader who is able to focus on both people and business and has demonstrable experience in managing teams in change and challenging environments. The unit as well as the industry is in rapid change and our successful candidate needs to be able to combine a strategic and commercial focus with operational capability building on the foundation already established through the last years of development.

What we are looking for in our leaders

• You have an engineering university degree (or equal) with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience including leadership (project and/or line) in an international organisation, preferably within offshore wind
• You are a highly motivated and constructive leader who is able to focus on both people and business
• You value feedback and are capable of creating psychological safety and a long term high performing team
• You have proven skills in dealing with strategic, highly complex issues and challenges and can lead the team through challenging times
• Health and safety is of highest priority and you need to be comfortable being a role model and speak up when something is not right
• Your command of English is strong, both verbally and written.
