Head of IT, Security and Data, Non-Financial Risk
In Non-Financial Risk (NFR) we have the responsibility of strengthening, driving and steering Danske Bank’s non-financial risk (NFR) management practice. We work in a dynamic environment and for us it is important to be trusted and relevant to business. It is key to collaborate and deliver high quality at the right time with the relevant level of engagement with stakeholders, while at the same time continuing to be innovative and curious.

The ITSD team plays a critical role in maturing the risk discipline and understanding of IT, Security and Data risk in Danske Bank. This is done by 2LoD risk-based monitoring, advice, review, challenge, reporting and control testing to ensure effective risk management according to the Bank’s risk management frameworks. Staying on top of emerging regulations, risks, and best practice techniques, understanding the Bank’s core values, and promoting alignment of roles and responsibilities for handling of non-financial risks is also key to fulfilling this role.

Your responsibilities
As Head of IT, Security and Data, Non-Financial Risk, you will be contributing to and have a vital role in leading and developing our monitoring and oversight team.

Your responsibilities include:

Ensuring quality and timely delivery of 2LoD monitoring and oversight, including further development of these practices.

Maintain oversight of key strategic initiatives and regulatory engagements.

Ensuring that the ITSD team supports the overall NFR and Group Risk Management objectives and Danske Bank culture commitments through planning, delivery management, coaching, learning and development.

Ensuring collaboration and co-operation across organisational boundaries (team, unit, department)

Creating, fostering, and supporting psychological safety and collegiate ways of working.

Solid stakeholder management and strong management skills
As Head of IT, Security and Data you will be applying your leadership skills navigating in a complex organizational set-up and have close collaboration with your peers throughout the Group.

It is key that you have solid stakeholder management skills, as you will work with a broad group of stakeholders and need to be able to communicate and translate complex content into every-day purposes. You will need to be knowledgeable within the non-financial risk management and specifically the IT, Security and Data Risk management discipline and enable analytical capabilities to find solutions.

In addition, we imagine that you have:

Direct leadership experience in a similar 2LoD Head of risk oversight role in the Nordic banking industry with a strong understanding of the Nordic industry and regulatory context. Danske Bank experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

Strong experience in leading teams in performing regular review of relevant risk information, risk forum monitoring, stakeholder engagement and advice, review and challenge, control testing and issues management.

Experience in navigating in a complex environment and working with stakeholders across all levels including executive level.

Expert knowledge and experience of IT and security and data risk management.

Relevant risk, security, and compliance certifications such as CRISC, CISA, ICA, ISC2 etc.

Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

The team works out of our new Domicile in the Centre of Copenhagen; however, Danske Bank supports a flexible work environment.
