Do you want to bring Scandinavia’s largest Lingerie brand to the next level within Merchandising? Our company is on a steep growth journey and now we are looking for an experienced Head of Merchandising to manage the company’s supply of products and services to our +300 stores.

The position is placed at the CHANGE headquarter in Farum, Denmark and you will refer to the company Chief Customer Experience Officer. You will be part of the CCXO leadership team.

CHANGE is a successful Danish retail and e-commerce company which has developed a successful business over the past 20 years and is growing rapidly. We design, develop, and produce our own products, which are sold in our +300 Change Lingerie concept stores as well as in our online stores across 9 markets in Europe and Canada. CHANGE is the market leader throughout Scandinavia, and with a substantial international growth potential we are expanding our business in the other markets. The company employs approximately 2,000 employees and generates yearly revenues of +150 mil. EUR.  

Your new team 
You will be part of a newly organized function at Change Lingerie, the Customer Experience Office, where the following departments are brought together to ensure a consistent and elevated omni customer experience: Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Excellence (with Retail Operations and Retail Training) and Customer Service. This structure will empower us to create aligned processes and procedures across all our 9 different markets, drive performance through our different channels by elevating our standards and identifying best practices. We always put the customer at the centre of what we do at Change. We believe that investing in the Customer Experience will naturally drive loyalty and performance.

About the position
CHANGE owns the entire value chain from design to production and sales in stores & online, we are continuously working on developing all parts of our business. We want to reinforce the power of the brand CHANGE, the brand visual identity, brand positioning and brand values. 
The Head of Merchandising will be responsible for the overall buying budget and demand planning of all our product categories (lingerie, swimwear, nightwear, loungewear), in all our +300 stores in 9 markets and ecommerce sites. You will act as an ambassador of our product categories, closely partnering with our retail teams and all Head Offices.
The Head of Merchandising will support the business strategy to animate these categories, ensuring successful product launches and optimizing performance & profitability. Analytically minded with excellent product sensitivity, you will closely monitor the assortment and placement of products, commercially drive sales across the group and collaborate with key departments such as marketing, sales, retail, ecom and finance.

  • Develop an overarching merchandising strategy for the group and drive business plans.
  • Develop collection brief based on trend analysis, customer profiling / climate / store profile (must buy) of different regions
  • In charge of developing enhanced ‘Sales Through Report’ to highlight reasons of performance/non-performance and allowing better product grouping and recommendation for products to be repeated based on trend analysis.
  • Your entrepreneurial spirit will help you think out of the box and solve problems in an efficient manner.

Professional competencies

  • Master or MBA degree, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of solid experience in Merchandising in Retail, ideally with experience in the Fashion industry
  • Experience in a multi store environment, across different countries
  • Managing buying substantial budget
  • Strong analytical skills and synthesis skills and digital literacy
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PBI and PPT, nice to have Microsoft Dynamics AX knowledge
  • Excellent Knowledge of business and market
  • Strong experience in people management
  • Proven business strategy, planning, and complex problem-solving 
  • Comprehensive understanding and grasp of both product and customer experience
  • Knowledge of trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape
