We have spent the past three years developing a cutting-edge massage robot designed to primarily enhance workplace wellbeing. With a dedicated team that includes a robotics professor, senior hardware engineer, cloud and interface engineer, product manager, and finance expert, we're gearing up to scale our product. We aim to transform corporate office environments, enhancing employee retention and productivity through innovative wellness solutions.
We're seeking a Head of Robotics to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in the ongoing development and enhancement of our robotic products. You'll be involved in all phases of robotics development from concept generation through to implementation, focusing on crafting high-quality, scalable, and efficient robotic solutions.
Important: The first 6 months of this role is paid in generous amount of equity. A great time to enter as our valuation is on the cusp of being 5-10x increased.
Design and develop robotic systems, focusing on software and algorithm development for robotic control and functionality.
Implement and optimize algorithms in C++ and Python for real-time performance.
Develop computer vision systems to enhance robot sensing and interaction capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and product managers, to integrate software systems with mechanical and electrical components.
Conduct rigorous testing and validation of robotic systems to ensure reliability and functionality under various conditions.
Stay updated with the latest robotics research and technologies and apply this knowledge to enhance product features and performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in robotics development, with a strong portfolio of previous successful projects.
Proficient in C++ and Python with a strong understanding of software development principles.
Demonstrated ability to develop complex robotic systems from concept to production.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Excellent teamwork skills, with proven experience in leading or significantly contributing to a collaborative project.
Experience with computer vision and its application in robotics.
Experience with machine learning and AI technologies as applied to robotics.
Previous experience in a startup or product launch environment.
