IT Cost Analyst

As a part of our ongoing initiatives to mature Egmont's Group IT department and its service catalogue, we are currently seeking a dedicated IT Cost Analyst to join our Group IT department in strengthening the backbone of our organization's finance and management framework.

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the new IT cost model, supporting, and automating the budget cycle, and providing on-going reporting on IT spend. This role will play a crucial part in optimizing our IT financial management processes and ensuring strategic alignment with overall business objectives. You will drive our objective of increasing transparency and data based decision making in our IT cost and the production of IT services.

To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in finance or a related field, experience with zero based budgeting and activity based costing, identifying true cost drivers and creating IT budgets with focus on services provided to business.

Responsibilities:

• Automate and run the IT management and product profitability accounting in accordance with guidelines, ensuring automated accurate variance analysis.
• Monitor budget and product P&L performance against actuals, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyse and interpret financial data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and maintain comprehensive IT Business Management including budgeting and forecasting.
• Identify and analyse key cost drivers impacting IT expenses, safe-guard the use of correct cost drivers for the products delivered to business.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting on key financial metrics and performance indicators.

Requirements:

• Graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of, preferably experience in, ABC, zero based budgeting, cost allocation, standard costing, and the management accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with IT cost structures and cost drivers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and reporting towards executive stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
