Just Eat is a growth company where things are moving quickly, and we do what it takes to reach our goals. Therefore, we are now searching for a Strategic Account Manager to enrich our newly established team focusing on Retail.

The team will consist of approximately four talented colleagues, in addition to yourself. You will report to our Head of Retail and be responsible for executing ambitious strategies, including the establishment of agreements with new strategic partners, supported by both the Head of Retail and Country Manager. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with our already experienced and well-established sales team. 

We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager who is ready to embark on this exciting journey where growth will be one of the main points of our agenda. We are looking for someone who loves to sell, is results-oriented, and has experience with larger chain collaborations. Our story began in 2001, when Just Eat was established in Denmark, with a mission to make the most of every food moment. In 2014 we really became a global family when we became stock listed and conquered the foodworld! However, we did not stop there - in 2020 we merged together with Takeaway.com and our culinary family has its headquarters in Amsterdam. Today, we are spreading the scent of delicious meals, tasty groceries, and meeting convenience needs in a total of 20 countries – ranging from Canada, Germany, and Australia to Israel, Switzerland, and Belgium.

  • Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a continued strong partnership with existing partners and identify new opportunities. In addition, you will be responsible for:
  • Building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with our current partners.
  • Supporting and monitoring the execution of joint business plans and implementing KPIs to track performance with key partners to ensure growth.
  • Establishing value chain-based win-win collaborations and cultivating strong relationships with partners, positioning yourself as their trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Identifying, developing, and executing collaboration agreements with partners who are not yet part of Just Eat to contribute to a broader selection and create great convenience experiences for consumers.
  • Establishing and taking ownership of KPIs that support the defined strategy.
  • Coordinating internal resources and collaborating across departments to create the best conditions for success.

What will your days look like?

As a Strategic Account Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage the relationship with our strategic Retail partners and grow revenue through Just Eat. Additionally, you will identify and pursue collaboration opportunities with key partners who are not yet part of Just Eat. To succeed in this role, it requires a thorough understanding of each partner's unique needs, a task achieved through effective and attentive communication. You are skilled at structuring and presenting the solutions we offer in a professional and proper manner. You can also balance the needs and desires of both internal and external stakeholders in a respectful way to achieve your goals.

You will spend a significant portion of your working hours visiting both new and existing partners, so be prepared for a fair amount of travel during your workweek. We will, of course, provide you with the necessary tools such as a computer, mobile phone, and company car. This position is based at our office in Copenhagen.

What do we expect?

  • You have at least 3 years of experience as a Strategic Account Manager, preferably within the FMCG-market.
  • You are results-oriented and don't give up until you succeed.
  • You are eager to work in a flexible environment where independence is not just offered but also expected.
  • You are a natural strong communicator and skilled at building, developing, and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Fluent in both Danish and English (written and spoken).
  • You have a valid driver's licence.
