Radiometer is currently looking for a chemical/electrochemical specialist taking the role as Lead Sensor Engineer in our R&D, Product Life Management department responsible for the transcutaneous product family (TCM5). 

The Lead Engineer is responsible for driving product maintenance and improvement activities related to the electrochemical sensors and the corresponding accessories on the market. The main part of the job is to ensure the technical functionality of the electrochemical sensors and the corresponding documentation package such as requirements and verifications.

You will work closely with R&D colleagues across our sites in Denmark, Poland, Switzerland, and India as well as our stakeholders in Production, Procurement, Quality and Regulatory Affairs and Sales.

This position is part of the R&D, Product Life Management department located in Copenhagen and will be hybrid. The team is taking care of products present on the market, with the primary focus on redesign to handle end of life components, adaptation to new regulations/standards and resolving issues related to quality and cost.

You will be part of an international and diverse team where expertise, flexibility and an informal organization foster ideas that shape the direction for our customers, products, and associates.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Become Lead Engineer for the marketed portfolio of transcutaneous sensors and accessories
  • Act as technical responsible and R&D point-of-contact in relation to Production, Procurement, Quality and Regulatory Affairs and Sales
  • Maintain Design Control in accordance with current standards and procedures as well as support registration, audits and inspections
  • Act as Project Manager/Subject Matter Expert in product improvement projects
  • Drive process improvements and ensure sustainment related to own area together with the team
     
  • The essential requirements of the job include:

  • BSc or MSc or PhD within relevant engineering field, preferably within chemistry or electrochemistry
  • Competencies within chemistry or electrochemistry preferably in sensor technologies
  • Experience with development or life cycle management
  • Experience with products combining multiple engineering disciplines
  • Fluent level of English
  • It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in Design control
  • Experience in Medical Device Industry
