About the job:
We are looking for a structured and ambitious colleague to join our Market Relationships team. As our new Legal Manager, you will be immersed in a dynamic environment where you will engage with external counterparts and internal stakeholders while working alongside highly passionate Saxo professionals.
Market Relationships sits in the Trading Department and is responsible for managing Saxo’s external providers across prime brokers, exchanges, CCPs, sub-custodians, correspondent banks and market data relationships that deliver critical market, settlement, data and banking access to our clients. In this role you will be mandated with the documentation associated with these relationships, ensuring we have great and consistent terms in line with what our clients need.
Our team currently consists of 11 employees, based in Copenhagen, London and Gurugram. The role is based in Copenhagen, and you will be working virtually with colleagues, counterparts and providers globally. You will report directly to the Head of Network & Market Relationship Management.
Your responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
Ensure consistent terms across all of our providers
Negotiate terms within Saxo appetite
Engage in correspondences and calls with internal stakeholders and external providers regarding mark-ups
Ensure that our agreements are up to date

To succeed in this role you are able to work in a structured, determined, and detail-oriented manner to ensure our terms are streamlined across our providers. You possess great communication and negotiating skills to successfully represent Saxo externally with our numerous counterpart relationships.

Your profile:
Master’s degree in law or a related field on similar level.
Proven track record from a similar role, preferably within the financial sector.
Real experience of working with, negotiating, and utilizing contracts.
Furthermore, we are looking for a candidate who is structured, detail-oriented, analytical and self-motivated. Someone who likes to take ownership and would like to play an important role in setting the agenda for how we approach and run our contracts. Skills such as effective problem solving and ability to work with tight deadlines will help you succeed. You are a team player willing to share learnings and new ideas. Additionally, you can articulate problems succinctly and are fully proficient in English.
