Main goals for this role

Ensure that Penneo has compliant, user-friendly legal frameworks for our KYC offering across all the AML-regulated industries and (mainly EU) jurisdictions in which we operate.

You will work closely with our Legal and Product & Engineering teams in the development and testing of new content and features and you will help shape our understanding of creating and maintaining compliant user-friendly content for AML practitioners across the EU. You will also help communicate the value of our product to both prospects, customers, and new users.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator, capable of understanding technical concepts and translating complex legal concepts into terms non-experts can understand.

You will report to our Director of Product and have our awesome Product & Engineering Team as your closest collaborator.

The position is full-time, based in Copenhagen.

What would be your responsibilities?

For our Legal Product Manager - AML, we foresee the following responsibilities, but you'll have the opportunity and freedom to influence and define them with us.

• Identify and collaborate with external AML experts and content providers across all relevant jurisdictions. Create and support strategic partnerships with industry experts.
• Work with external AML experts and Penneo’s legal team to create, maintain, and develop high-quality legal frameworks for Penneo’s KYC product.
• Review and manage legal content strategy for our products.
• Translate legal requirements and content into efficient and compliant user experiences.
• Manage the lifecycle and quality of all AML-related content published via the Penneo KYC product.
• Collaborate with engineering and design to ensure efficient and user-friendly editorial processes and solutions for creating and maintaining the legal content needed to drive the KYC/AML processes in the product.
• Develop scalable methodologies for custom configuration of legal frameworks.
• Track industry trends and competitors in the KYC/AML domain.
• Support the commercial teams with AML expertise in the sales and onboarding processes.
• Be the go-to person for AML-related questions in Penneo and support the continuous improvement of Penneo’s AML offering with regulatory insights and industry best practices for all relevant markets.

We expect you to:

• Have excellent knowledge of practical legal risk management preferably within anti-money laundering.
• Have outstanding communication skills and a flair for breaking down legal concepts into terms non-expert practitioners can understand.
• Be passionate about building a product to help companies become and stay compliant with current AML-regulation.
• Have a basic understanding of software and technical products and an eagerness to learn more about product development and the application of technology to drive compliance.
• Work effectively with Engineers in a collaborative and mutually respectful relationship, involving the team early and providing them with context and direct access to customers and stakeholders, leveraging the entire team’s skill sets.
• Be a curious individual with a growth mindset, not afraid to ask questions, always willing and wanting to learn.

Preferred:

• Practical experience with software product management or software development.
• Practical experience with legal content management and editorial processes.
