About the Project

Perimenopause and menopause mark significant transitions in a woman's life, typically occurring between the ages of 45 and 55. With a substantial portion of women spending over a third of their lives in these stages, it's estimated that by 2030, 1.2 billion women globally will be navigating this phase.

During perimenopause and menopause, between 75% to 85% of women experience a range of physical and emotional symptoms. These may include hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, sleep disturbances, fatigue, changes in libido, and more. Around 20-30% of women encounter severe symptoms, impacting their daily lives and well-being.

The challenges women face during menopause are multifaceted:

1. Limited education and awareness often lead to delayed or inadequate symptom management, affecting overall quality of life.
2. Stigma and taboo surrounding menopause contribute to feelings of embarrassment, isolation, and mental health issues.
3. Controversies surrounding suitable treatments, including the risks and benefits of hormone replacement therapy, create confusion and uncertainty for women seeking relief.

The Concept:

We are building a digital platform that helps women tackle midlife challenges, including menopause, and regain their vitality by enhancing sleep quality, addressing weight gain, bolstering physical strength, and elevating self-confidence, one bite-sized step at a time.

Our solution includes several components:

• Data gathering via self-assessment (and over time wearables integration and blood tests) to enable personalization

• Tailored evidence-based recommendations on small easy fixes: from impactful tiny daily hacks to supplements and product recommendations

• Personalized wellness programs, designed by menopause experts for midlife women, focused on fitness routines, emotional management techniques, meal plans, and sleep habits

• Supportive community and knowledge hub to build awareness and share experiences

About the role:

We're on the lookout for a visionary Chief Product Officer to help co-found our Menopause venture. As the CPO, you'll be formulating the value proposition, products, and services based on robust scientific insights and deep understanding of the pain points and needs of women going through the menopause transition.  Collaborating closely with our team, your role will involve pioneering innovative products and services that cater to the diverse symptoms and challenges of menopause.

Perimenopause and menopause are pivotal life stages for women, with profound physical and emotional implications. Here at KRING, we understand the hurdles women face during this time, from a lack of education and awareness to the stigma surrounding menopause and its treatments. That's why we're dedicated to supporting women's health through evidence-based, compassionate solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate the value proposition, products, and services based on robust scientific insights and deep understanding of the pain points and needs of women going through the menopause transition.

• Develop a distinctive user experience methodology rooted in scientific expertise.

• Serve as the project's primary scientific advisor/lead, ensuring alignment with the latest research in menopause.

• Stay abreast of scientific advancements relevant to our solution and integrate them into our offerings.

• Engage with users to gather actionable feedback and iteratively refine our solutions.

• Cultivate strong relationships with the healthcare community and key opinion leaders.

About You:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with a demonstrated passion for and understanding of menopause.

• Experience in operating within high-growth startups or scale-ups is advantageous.

• Prior experience as a founder or co-founder or product/science lead of digital or digital health companies is desirable and advantageous.

• Proficiency in English is essential, and fluency in Danish is a plus.

Location: Open to candidates worldwide, with a requirement to be in Copenhagen for at least a five-month validation and MVP-building phase.
