Microbiologist for QC Team

Bavarian Nordic A/S is developing rapidly and therefore we are looking for a microbiologist in the microbiological team in Kvistgaard, Denmark. In the position, you will contribute to the testing and release of vaccines against critical diseases. QC Microbiology is responsible for performing analyzes of routine samples and validations of new products.

Your tasks as a Microbiologist

With Bavarian Nordic, you will be part of a workplace with a high pace and many different types of tasks e.g.:

• Approval of sample results
• Write deviations and change requests
• Write validation protocols and reports
• Support the microbial laboratory with e.g. equipment or the analysis
• Troubleshooting for the production with microbial issues

The microbiological team is part of quality control (QC), which consists of 6 different teams and a total of 70 people. The microbiological team performs analyses such as bioburden, endotoxin test, TOC, ID analysis of microorganisms with MALDI-TOF, process simulation, and handling of environmental samples.

The team consists of seven laboratory technicians, five scientists/microbiologists, and a manager, to whom you will be referring. Maintaining a good collaboration every day is important to make it work. We are growing because things are going well for Bavarian Nordic but are still no bigger than all scientists will learn all the different analyses we have in our laboratory. In this way, we can offer a lot of learning and the opportunity to influence projects and analyses.

Who are you?

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. as a microbiologist, engineer, or similar education
• Whether you are experienced or newly educated, the most important thing is the desire and motivation to learn
• Preferably experience with documentation requirements in the pharmaceutical industry
