About the job
The claim handling department in Global Logistics is responsible for delivering root cause analyses on customer claims regarding delivered items. The current process involves a lot of manual investigation and digging into the process to be able to establish a root cause. This project would help automatic this process by the application of unsupervised learning techniques on natural text generated by humans when performing a root cause analysis. The first objective is to categorize text into topics and afterwards to try to find patterns by means of a feature space, that includes information about the shipment.
What you know
You are master student within the data science space and are ready to perform a thesis together with an international organization. Ideally you have basic knowledge and/or are interested in learning more about natural language processing and unsupervised learning.
