Part-time assistant in bioinformatics – DTU Health Tech

Are you interested in bioinformatics and data collection? We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic bioinformatics master student.

The job
We are looking for an ambitious student helper to help us perform various standard bioinformatics analysis, collect new data (often through literature review) and support the group and its students working with the bioinformatics of isoform analysis.

Our expectations of you
We are looking for a student helper with expertise in:

• Proficiency in R, Python and Bash programming
• Deep knowledge of the theoretical basis and pipeline of isoform-level transcriptomics and proteomics analysis
• Applying and developing IsoformSwitchAnalyzeR – the core tool of the group
• Applied analysis of large-scale proteomics data
• Big omics data collection, organization and QC
• Searching, reading, curating and writing scientific literature
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with machine learning

Salary and appointment terms
Salary and appointment terms are in accordance with the LC/CO10-collective agreement and the organizational agreement for IT employees (PROSA) in the service of the state.

Working hours are on average 9 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 1 August 2024 (or according to mutual agreement). The employment runs for max 9 months.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
