About ICARS
The International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS) was established by the Danish government in 2018 with a mission to develop evidence-based solutions to mitigate antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) across the human, veterinary and environment sectors taking a One Health approach.
Working in partnership with LMICs, ICARS’ projects focus on intervention and implementation research leading to sustainable, scalable AMR mitigating solutions across the One Health sectors. Projects are co-developed with LMIC partners who implement the projects.

About the position
We are recruiting a Grant Manager/Officer to support the effective management of external grants for ICARS. Under the supervision of Director of Operations, and as part of our Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Team, you will be responsible for the upstream grant management with external donors. This will include ensuring the compliance requirements are met and that grant reporting is coordinated, timely and of high quality. Additionally, you will support the Partnerships and Science team in coordinating grant writing and fundraising activities as well as administrative and logistics tasks to help deliver on the different activities outlined in the overall workplan for the organisation and specific grant deliverables.

Your background, professional and personal qualifications
We are looking for persons with an advanced level university degree (Masters equivalent degree) in any subject relevant to public health, project management or business administration. Three or more years’ experience in public health or non-profit administration, grant management, donor relations management or fundraising are required. Previous experience in global health, antimicrobial resistance mitigation, climate change and gender projects would be an asset.

Terms of employment
Salary and appointment terms will be based on the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations (AC) (overenskomst for akademikere i staten). Depending on your academic qualifications and experience there is a possibility of being classified as a “fuldmægtig” or a “Special Consultant”.
This is a full-time, 2-year position based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The position is dependent on funding and available as soon as possible.
