PROCUREMENT MANAGER – FURNITURE & LIGHTING

About the job

At our office facilities by the harbor edge in Horsens, you will become part of an energetic office community, consisting of approx. 120 colleagues looking forward to welcoming you in our team.

As a Procurement Manager you will become part of a strong and ambitious Supply Chain team and a well running procurement team covering Furniture and Lighting. At HAY we pride ourselves on treating each other with respect and supporting each other to stay focused, committed, and always motivated.

Your everyday activities will be characterized by high speed and the requirement to engage in, direct and prioritize between multiple critical projects.

More specifically, your tasks will include

  • Lead, manage and support of Procurement Team of 9 employees
  • Responsible for the daily procurement operation in balance with category buyers and sales operation
  • Control and optimization of the product flow internally and externally incl. forecasting
  • Ensuring fast, relevant, and pro-active back-office support incl. on-time communication
  • Secure quality and process compliant operation execution
  • Take part in the operational tasks when needed
  • Travel to suppliers is expected to be approximately 10 days per year within Europe.

  • You have experience in running projects, coordinating tasks and/or leading teams
  • You have an open approach to encourage stakeholder input and a structured, fact-driven approach to ensure improvements and optimizations are prioritized and implemented
  • You are a collaborator who is determined to see fruitful implementation of the initiatives you direct
  • You have a holistic and positive mindset with the ability to see the big picture, commercial approach, and focus on the customer experience – and yet secure the details
  • You have an analytical, structured, and fact-based approach to problem solving
  • You are professionally ambitious, and passionate about developing workflows and maintaining those that work
  • You are driven by creating motivation and clarity for your team, and it comes naturally to you to be at the forefront of new initiatives
  • You have a proven record of great communication and stakeholder management skill
  • Experience required / You’ll need

  • Experience with procurement and/or management, and a relevant background supporting the role and responsibility
  • Experience within furniture business can be an advantage
  • Advanced IT skills (proficient with D365/Power BI, Microsoft Office Package, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in English
