Overview
As a leading global provider of engineering, procurement and construction management expertise to the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors we are proud to be in a position to expand our team in Denmark and have partnered with Airswift to support our recruitment plans in 2024.
We are currently recruiting for a PROJECT ENGINEERING MANAGER to support our Copenhagen office, with a portfolio of projects within the energy transition space. The successful individual(s) will be engaged on a contract basis, with an initial contract duration of 12 months, and the option for further contract renewals to follow. As this is a key hire for our business, there is also the potential for direct permanent hire, if preferred.
Role Context
As Project Engineering Manager, you will have the primary responsibility for the technical delivery of projects across pre-FEED, FEED, Detail Design and Construction.
This is a dynamic role that will require your strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills to lead SME’s and multi-discipline teams to drive efficient and effective project delivery. As we scale our business and accelerate the pace of FEED to EPC delivery innovative business models, utilising existing, and developing new, digital solutions and design automation become essential.
As Project Engineering Manager, you will be directly involved in delivering engineering management on innovative energy transition projects from FEED through construction. You’ll oversee a multidiscipline engineering team and be supported by a strong group of project based and digital specialists to ensure delivery of ground breaking projects in record time. You will need to demonstrate the ability to effectively interface all engineering activities including multiple client offices, third party engineering services and clients.
You'll be:
A strong safety leader, driving attitudes and behaviours and promoting our client's safety culture Managing the entire engineering project work scope and resources on a given project Ensuring that engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality Monitoring and reporting on engineering progress Identifying and addressing cross-discipline issues and conflicts to ensure overall engineering input is coherent Leading the technical input required for tender / bid submissions
You'll have: Experience in project stages Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC & EPCM Experience in running a large engineering task force The ability to guide and influence the customer Strong commercial awareness Sound sustainability awareness Understanding of and ability to apply AWP principles Understanding of and commitment to robust project control systems and processes Fluent Danish speaker is essential. A degree and preferably chartered status
