This role will contribute to the advancement of dsm-firmenich by executing and assisting in analyzing pre-clinical research related to human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs).

Your key responsibilities
You will be working in a microbiology lab and assist with cell biology-based assays. Your primary focus will be in vitro fermentations and related assays, supporting the Early Life Nutrition and other segments in the Health, Nutrition and Care business unit of dsm-firmenich. You will work with a range of in vitro experiments to help showcase potential health advantages of HMOs and potentially other ingredients. In addition, you will support the team with procurement and ad hoc administrative tasks. You will also be part of structuring our physical and digital work-flow by generating SOPs, inventory systems and freezer catalogues. As a person you are pro-active in problem solving, can work independently, and have analytical capabilities. You have a collaborative mind-set with great communication skills. You have experience in project management (i.e., being in charge of and running your own experimental projects), data management, strategic thinking, and you have a client focus. Master´s degree (or equivalent experience) within food science, human nutrition, or microbiology. Experience with fermentation studies and assays is an advantage, as well as data analysis, and research project management. #EXT
