Senior Legal Counsel

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be a trusted advisor in a highly valued legal department, where you will be a central part of negotiating and preparing legal contracts across various areas, utilizing your commercial and corporate law experience. 

Your responsibilities as Legal Counsel: 

Reporting to our Legal Team Lead, you will support our legal organization with empowering relevant stakeholders balance risk and reward, and with its vision to enable business growth and scalability, and ultimately, support Omada with the execution of its strategy. 

• You will review and negotiate software contracts, including SaaS contracts, and professional services contracts and in relation hereto, work closely with the sales organization and the customer success organization. 
• You will handle corporate legal topics in the Nordics and internationally in close cooperation with external legal counsel and Omada’s executive management team. 
• You will work on data privacy and data security legal issues in close cooperation with our CISO, our CTO and our IT department. 
• You will ensure the best possible legal and commercial terms and handle disputes. 
• You will help build and continuously adjust the standard terms for different software products and provide your expert knowledge and advice to the business. 
• You will manage legal files with the help of a modern contract management system and you will provide counsel on general legal matters. 

Do you have what it takes? 

A Scandinavian master's degree in law or business administration and commercial law combined with: 

• Minimum 5 years of (postgraduate) experience from an inhouse or law firm position (or a mix), 
• Experience advising within the legal areas of commercial, tech, IT and intellectual property, 
• Track record in individually drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in an international setting, 
• An ability to learn new skills as well as the willingness to follow through on tasks, 
• An eye for details, scalability and operational efficiency, 
• Highly collaborative and curious mindset with a “can do” approach, and 
• Excellent communication skills in English and Danish - verbally and written. 

In addition, we will be thrilled for the candidate to have: 

• IT law certifications, 
• Data Protection experience preferably as a DPO, and/or 
• An interest in and be comfortable with technical discussions on software and technology subjects
