Senior Long Term adviser (N2) - Enhanced Danish-Ethiopian Energy Partnership Programme, Ethiopia Electric Power.

Danida seeks Long Term Senior Energy Adviser (N2) Ethiopia Senior Long Term adviser (N2) - Enhanced Danish-Ethiopian Energy Partnership Programme (DEEP) placed at Ethiopia Electric Power (EEP). As adviser you will support the Ethiopia Electric Power (EEP) in the overall coordination of the ‘Danish-Ethiopian Energy Partnership Programme (DEEP)’, to ensure achievement of objectives, progress and coherence. The overall goal of the programme is for Ethiopia to develop an increasingly stable electricity system, efficiently integrating new wind and solar generation capacities. You will be posted at an office in EEP and the work will take place in close cooperation with the relevant teams from both the Ministry of Water and Energy and within EEP as well as with the sector counsellor at the embassy and the Danish experts e.g. from DEA, Energinet, Green Power Denmark and Danish consultants.

You have ability to work at inter-disciplinary teams and capacity to work with a high level of initiative and diplomacy, and with multiple participants and stakeholders. You hold a relevant master level degree, and have extensive knowledge of Danish and international energy and climate change mitigation policy. Knowledge of East Africa/Ethiopia will be an added value. You are fluent in English. Fluency in Danish is an advantage.
