The position
As Senior Manager, you will be strategically responsible for all sourcing aspects of bioprocessing materials. You will provide relevant sourcing advise to support Novo Nordisk innovation and decision making with a time horizon of up to 10 years. Some of your main responsibilities include: Ensuring a high performing team that is able to secure timely and robust long term supply at competitive terms Driving sourcing/strategy development agenda as well as challenging the organisation on competences and operational setup Leading a high performing team that can deliver according to the SSIMS vision, securing the foundation for incoming supply, mitigating supply risks, and providing relevant sourcing advice Safeguarding that the team operates in compliance with the Quality Management System and that resources are allocated, and employees provided with the means to fulfil their responsibilities You will be working in a global organization; hence you should expect 10 to 20 days of travel activities per year. This position holds ample opportunities for personal and professional development and will quickly establish you as the go-to person within your area. You will be reporting directly to the Vice President Bioprocessing & Raw Materials. As the position is newly established you will be part of shaping the role in close collaboration with the VP and the team. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we imagine you: Hold a master degree in business, engineering, economics, supply chain, or any other relevant field Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in category management, procurement or strategic sourcing Possess a previous experience within people management – formal or informal, preferably in a cross functional, tactical and strategic environment Demonstrate excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken As a person, you understand the main goals of tasks and actions, create plans and goals, and guide decision-making with clear advice based on strong analysis. You also excel at providing guidance to team members, boosting their motivation, and ensuring everyone is engaged and involved. Your personal drive, strong interpersonal skills, good business understanding, strategic and analytical mindset further enhance your capability to plan projects, drive problem-solving, and prepare comprehensive business plans. About the department SS IMS is a strategic sourcing unit with the mission to equip Product Supply (PS) with suppliers and service providers to produce and deliver high-quality products to our patients. Offset in our category strategies, the unit connect external capabilities and opportunities with PS’ internal sourcing needs on a time horizon of up to 10 years. Via sourcing, negotiation and contracting activities, SS IMS connects market capacity of suppliers with the needs of Product Supply. We secure alignment with Novo Nordisk values and strategies, by having a number of Centers of Excellence supporting the Category Management roles. You will join the Bioprocessing & Raw Materials department which is responsible for all the bioprocessing and raw materials used globally by Novo Nordisk. We secure timely, robust, long term supply, securing manufacturing of Novo Nordisk Products, through SSIMS Core Disciplines, maximising value creation for Novo Nordisk in alignment with Novo Nordisk strategy.
