Senior Project Manager to head up SAP S/4 HANA project

At Novo Nordisk’s production site in Hillerød we produce marketed products, and are responsible for both filling, assembly, and final packaging. Our production processes are complex, and the factory is an important part of providing quality products to patients globally. Part of the factory is new, and part has been well functioning for years – our global SAP ERP is up for upgrade to the SAP S/4 HANA platform. Rolling out simultaneously over all of Novo Nordisk, this will have a large impact on our 24/7 production site, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager, who will be responsible for the local implications to our site of the upgrade.

The position
As a Senior Project Manager within Injectable Finished Products Hillerød (IFP HI) department you will be in a highly skilled and professional project manager environment, as part of the Project Management Office (PMO). Working with a primarily waterfall project management model and with a mature site project governance setup, the task is to be gatekeeper, translator, and project manager of the local transition. The global rollout will be in summer 2025, and you are brought in now to be the local anchor, strategist, implementor, lighthouse and a project manager. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the local scope of implementation of SAP S/4 HANA across a production with 9 production lines running 24/7, and locally 1500 people

• Translating the corporate program into a local plan, ensuring quality and risk planning as well as leading the local transition project team, that includes process supporters, validation lead, IT support, Training SME, etc. 

• Utilizing efficient planning and stakeholder alignment to ensure necessary process support for project execution as well as collaboration and fostering individual and team change management as the new processes are introduced

• Actively collaborating with department management team and provide feedback and sparring on program strategy and priority

• Preparing templates/materials and executing a plane for Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities

• Linking up with corporate Program office, business tracks, migration track and the other local project managers for other international and national production sites

We are at the same time upgrading and transferring to a new SAP EWM system, and you will work in close collaboration with the Senior Project Manager and that project team. As Senior Project Manager you will also become a role model for our project management teams and you are also expected to provide sparing and support across PMO when and if needed. However, you will not have people directly reporting to you.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:

• A relevant academic degree, and a proven track record working with SAP projects and/or ERP implementation

• Experience in EPR implementation, and preferably SAP S4/HANA combined with a background as a senior/project manager, working with the waterfall project management

• Recent success in large IT strategy development and implementation

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a good sense of diplomacy to enable progress in a complex stakeholder landscape

• Professional proficiency in English

You are able to collaborate with professionals from all levels in the organization, including the ability to rapidly develop and clearly communicate scenarios, impact of risks, and recommendations to decision-makers. Moreover, you demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, while implementing a new ERP system and work closely with stakeholders to achieve the local readiness. 

 
About the department 
In Injectable Finished Products (IFP) we produce a large portfolio of products fighting diabetes and obesity worldwide, this position is located at the Novo Nordisk IFP site at Hillerød. The production is running 24/7, but as a part of the Production Support department the Project Management Office works normal hours Monday to Friday. 

You will report to our Senior Manager for Project Management office, where you will be part of a +40-project manager group, all dedicated to projects across our site. Our challenge is to execute an increasing portfolio of diverse projects and implementing new solutions with minimum impact on the ongoing production. From project office we execute projects within aseptic production (formulation, filling, and inspection) and finished production (assembly and packaging), IT/Automation, Material handling systems as well as projects withing facility and building.
