About the job position
The main purpose of the job position is to guarantee purchase for a selected series of direct categories (ingredients/packaging) for biscuits baking & packing, to make sure Kelsen’s operational needs are met as well as ensuring continuity of supply.
Secondly to implement strategic procurement initiatives with a perspective of total cost of ownership and added value, and thirdly to drive operational procurement excellence within the procurement category strategies, in-sync with the Fine Biscuits Company (FBC) and group sourcing strategies and operative models.
Further the Strategic Buyer focuses on reducing purchasing cost, increasing procurement agility, improving supplier quality and delivery performance, developing supplier relationship management, reducing supply risk, enabling innovation, and strengthening the CSR-agenda.
The Strategic Buyer collaborates closely with the teams in Planning, Product Development and Operations as well as with the FBC & Group Procurement Category Managers.

Who are you
We are looking for a Strategic Buyer with ambition and a proactive mindset. You must have good analytical skills and gets things done. You are a team player who masters cross functional projects and likes to be ‘hands on’ working with good structure and being detail oriented.
You report to the Kelsen Group’s Head of Procurement and are based in the Kelsen headquarter attached to the Nørre Snede butter cookie factory.
Most likely you have a bachelor or master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business Administration combined with a proven track record in strategic procurement (3-5 years) preferably from an FMCG company. If you have experience with the packaging category it is an advantage.
We expect you have solid experience with procurement negotiation, the sourcing process and cost analysis processes. Project management skills and experience with managing multiple and complex implementations is an advantage. Further you will need skills in supplier relationship management processes and stakeholder management. You are a strong communicator and have a good understanding of ERP systems (Kelsen is using SAP) and preferable BI tools.
