Job Description
We are looking for a Strategic Leadership Communications Lead to join Organon’s global external affairs team. We are looking for a highly skilled and collaborative communications professional to develop a broad range of thought leadership content and design and execute communication strategies and plans for Organon’s senior leaders, to build and enhance the company’s reputation; create a favorable environment for our business; highlight our purpose; bring our values to life and maximize employee engagement, retention and productivity.
This is a strategic role supporting critical thought leadership strategies and content development, and involves working closely with members of our senior leadership team. This position reports to the Executive Director, Leadership & ESG Communications.
This role can be based anywhere in Europe, with regular travel to Organon’s European Headquarters in Lucerne, Switzerland and occasional international travel required.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Designing and executing communication strategies and plans for Organon’s senior leaders that advance reputation and key goals and objectives, with a focus on advancing commercial leadership
Developing talking points, speeches, video scripts, media messaging and slide decks/visuals for senior leader internal and external engagements as well as other content
Oversight of leadership LinkedIn channels, including planning, executing, and measuring content performance and approaches
Leading or supporting production of large live employee or other events
Development of leadership-related content for Organon corporate social media channels, in collaboration with social media team
Collaboration with in-house or contracted graphic designers, event producers, video producers, PR firms, etc.
Providing and/or arranging for media/speaker training and on-site support for senior leaders
Pursuing external speaking opportunities and assessing/negotiating acceptances for incoming invitations
Required Experience and Skills:
Accomplished corporate communications professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, public relations agency or related field.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong influencing skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a passion for storytelling.
Proven experience developing and driving successful corporate reputation and thought leadership initiatives.
Educational minimal requirements BA/BS
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience in executive communication and healthcare fields.
Experience in social media strategy and content development, including developing high performing content and growing company and leader profiles on LinkedIn
