SSI Diagnostica Group is a clinical diagnostic company with a mission to help prevent, monitor, and diagnose clinical diseases through our quality portfolios of Reagents and IVD Diagnostic products and solutions. We are a carve-out of the Danish Serum Institute owned by a Private Equity Fond. We are founded on the success of strong organic growth and acquisition of 3 clinical diagnostic companies. We recently signed off a new 5-year strategy for the group embarking on a journey to become one global IVD Diagnostic powerhouse.

The Team & Position – Group Strategy & Corporate Development

We are a newly established team as part of the new strategy reporting directly to the Group CEO. We support the global organization in developing and deploying our corporate/group strategy as well as all related activities such as M&A, Corporate Development Projects, Corporate Communication, and related business analytical tasks. We work directly with Executive Management & C-level management in key business processes and drive reporting to the Board of Directors. The team has a critical role in supporting the full organization in deploying the strategic direction and acting as the change agent to secure we drive the future ambition of the Group Company. We work at a fast pace with a strong focus on numerous types of stakeholders in the organization across Denmark, USA, and China.

We are looking for a Strategy Project Manager to join the team – reporting to the Director of Group Strategy & Corporate Development. You will become an integral part of building and integrating our global organization whilst we continue to grow organically and through new M&A’s. You will be the lead in selecting, driving, and supporting global management in the execution of key strategic projects with a wide reach across the cross-functional organization. You can expect to grow with the position as the area and priorities of the team expand. You will work directly with a talented group of top leaders from the industry with important responsibilities to our strategy and business agenda. You will be a key player in succeeding we balance and execute for growth and scalability in the organization through the projects you select, drive, and execute with the right teams on board.

Your areas of responsibilities:

  • Lead the Global Strategic and Project oversight: Be anchor-point for full global organization towards executive management on new projects and scoping whilst supporting project owners in selecting and implementing projects in the organization.
  • Drive Corporate Development Projects: Own, analyze and drive selected strategic development projects with support from Global Project Management Office 
  • Support the team and other global functions in:
    • Business Analytical tasks: Market intelligence and competitor analysis
    • M&A processes: Financial, Strategic and Commercial due diligence and post-integration processes/projects
    • Executive Management support: AdHoc tasks to support Group CEO, Group CFO in management & board material as well as general management consultancy.

Personal Qualifications:

  • Understand how to unlock and facilitate specialist knowledge unfamiliar to you and ask the right questions to discover the right scope of work. 
  • Be pro-active and take the initiative to shape the task in front of you and your colleagues.
  • Have great interpersonal skills cross-country and cross-functional – both horizontal and lateral in an organization. We are a small group of people working closely together with the need to have fun and respect whilst solving a task.
  • Fast-learner with a can-do mindset – we expect you to have a drive and natural wish to see things progress despite not having a clear road ahead before a task is given.
  • Enjoy a fast-paced environment with potential to work during fluctuating periods of time intense requirements pending priorities and projects.
  • Working with an analytical and structured mindset whilst balancing the need to execute tasks for short-term acceleration.

Professional Experience:

  • Experience working with a global organization with multiple layers of stakeholders (similar organization in transformation, larger multinational organization, or consultancy)
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a similar role with strategy projects or in-house consultancy and people facilitation tasks.
  • Experience from similar life science or diagnostic industry or basic understanding hereof.
  • Relevant higher-level education i.e. master’s degree in business administration, strategy or similar – or science degree with strong business understanding
  • Experience in working with project management toolboxes and business strategies.
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, Power Point and relevant CRM systems)
  • Fluent both oral and written in English (business language is English, but local sites work in Danish – some level of Danish understanding will be needed). 
  • You can expect 5-15 travel days pending the projects at hand.
