The position
As a Supply Manager of plastic components, you will oversee the sourcing and supply of plastic components used in the manufacturing of pen needles. You will develop and implement procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality plastic components. You will have daily contact with suppliers and be the one-point of contact to Novo Nordisk A/S. On a weekly basis, you will issue purchase orders, update shipments, secure timely quality release of components and monitor KPIs. You will collaborate closely with the production team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of plastic components to support the manufacturing schedule. Inventory levels will be monitored to ensure adequate stock of plastic components while minimising excess inventory and associated costs. You and your colleagues are based at the site in Hjørring. Qualifications You have a bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields. You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the plastic component manufacturing industry. To succeed in this position, you must have: A proven track record of successful supplier management, negotiation and relationship building Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders Experience with SAP or other ERP systems Familiarity with GMP regulated areas which is a plus. Furthermore, you must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. About the department You will be part of the Supply Chain Management team with 20 dedicated and skilled colleagues who are responsible for our manufacturing and supply of pen needles. The team is part of Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing which is overall responsible for the global end-to-end supply chain of Novo Nordisk's pen needles including both internal and external production, quality assurance, and manufacturing development. We are organised in seven departments and with more than employees dedicated to ensuring the pen needle supply to Novo Nordisk.
