Technical Product Manager for Plant Based and Savoury

As the Technical Product Manager for the Plant-Based and Savoury Industries, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that product quality meets customer expectations. You will manage product specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure that the products comply with legislative and intellectual property (IP) requirements. 

You will be the owner of the product portfolio from the technical angle and will secure it in line with the commercial strategy. You will work with other departments to ensure that AAK is free to produce products that meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.

You will drive and align new products developed by the Customer Innovation or Product Development teams and ensure they are set up correctly in the ERP system. You will manage and modify the current product range according to the industry strategy. This will involve working with internal stakeholders such as Sourcing & Trading, Supply Chain, QA/QC, Commercial Product Managers, and Production Quality.

Responsibilities

As Technical Product Manager for the Plant Based andSavoury your main tasks andresponsibilities will be:

- Owner of the product portfolio from BOMs, processing parameters and Master data perspective – maintain, optimize, and develop the right product portfolio.

- Responsible for the industry components strategy – secure production and increase profitability of industry product portfolio by optimal usage of available components.

- Be part of the PM activities together with industry CPM and be the link to the site TPM and SC as needed.
Translate industry product strategy into industry components.

- Ensure new products are ready to be produced in alignment with Site TPM, SC and Operations – technical feasibility including freedom to operate (IP).

- Manage and develop the industry component portfolio and conduct annual industry technical portfolio review.

- Entry point into production sites New Product Management meetings. Align modifications and product deletions – providing all required industry related input for technical feasibility check.

- Participation in various activities to improve ways of working, systems etc.

- Support other industries / site TPMs when needed.
 
About you

To besuccessful in the role you need:

- Have a master’s degree in food process engineering or a similar education. Alternative you have an extensive experience in the food industry working in a similar position.

- As a person you are technically skilled in either operation processes and supply chain or has knowledge of the food industry and production processes together with understanding the properties of vegetable fats in the various food products.

- Further you have a good business acumen or would like to develop these skills.

- You are an analytical person who likes to manage large and diverse data.

- You have knowledge of SAP and speak English fluently.

- As you will cover more production sites within AAK, willingness to travel is a must and you thrive to work in a matrix organization.
