For our Turbine Operation & Validation (TOV) department in NE&ME, we are looking for a talented Test Engineer. In general, TOV are handling the prototypes of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, which means the overall operation and validation of the very first products of its kind - all over the world.
TOV consists of (as of now) two regions; SE&A (South Europe & Africa) and NE&ME (Northern Europe & Middle Europe) which covers mainly roles as Test Engineers and Test Managers. This position is for NE&ME.

committed to specific prototypes and will ensure execution of test and activities in accordance to the test program which has been established in collaboration with the Test Manager and the project organization. Furthermore this role will ensure error/faults/findings are dealt with in a manner so that the prototype can continue to operate safely and ensure proper communication back to the organization and last but not least - involve as much as needed to find future solutions.
committed to specific prototypes and holds the responsibility that all activities in this regards are at the level needed in terms of safety, quality and time. This person is the first face towards the project organization and place an important role in regards to achieve the required certificates and complete the agreed test program. The Test Manager deals with the daily planning & operation with the Test Engineers and adjust if necessary. Together with the test engineers, the test manager will be the 'first to see' and 'first to report' in regards to learnings, findings, error, faults etc. etc. This is an important task due to things which are seen for the first time and hereafter solved properly and quickly, means low risk of warranty cases within the company.
How to contribute to our mission
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation of several prototypes in collaboration with your team and you will work closely together with our design engineers and service department.
You will be a part of a highly motivated team, all with an open mindset and a curiosity to learn more and continuously improving the technology.
In your daily work, you will analyze data from the prototypes through many various IT tools (an example of this could be MATLAB).
To sum-up - the role implies;
Performing tests (both onsite and remote), trouble-shooting and root-cause analysis in prototypes while also evaluating all stops
Reporting all major findings from prototypes, following-up on findings and making sure we evolve from our learnings.

What you need to make a difference
You hold a relevant technical education, i.e., Bachelor of Technology Management and Marine Engineering, B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering.
You have flair for IT, and you have an open and curious mindset within software.
You have a technical mindset and seek to gain new knowledge and solutions constantly.
You are analytical and persistent, and you have a proactive approach to your assignments.
It is a plus, but not a requirement, that you have knowledge of MATLAB.
You possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing.
You have a structured approach to your work and can handle simultaneous assignments without losing overview. You possess the ability to work independently as well as in teams and you are good at collaborating with stakeholders at different areas of the organization.
