Job Description
For the support of our regional EURAM Communications department of the Animal Health division based in Munich, Germany, we are searching for a highly motivated Trainee EURAM Communications (m/f/d). However the department is based in Munich, it is also possible for you to work virtually or from another of our locations in Europe.
The traineeship is designed for 24 months and includes extensive practical experience in external and internal communication (learning-on-the-job) as well as further training opportunities in public relations and digital marketing.
You are part of our EURAM Communications team that works across all organizational levels and also has contact with Global Communications. The position gives you the opportunity to contribute, hone and expand your skills, your knowledge and your experience in many different areas and projects in a large corporation.
Our Policy & Communications team collaborate with governments and policy organizations at local and national levels. We address legislative and regulatory issues that promote and protect the discovery of innovative medicine, vaccines and animal health products while improving and protecting patient access to care. We take great care to monitor and manage the reputation of our company communicating the work we do to improve lives.
Your tasks and learning areas:
Active support of the local communication teams in the EURAM region (Europe, Russia, North Africa, and the Middle East)
Working together with contacts on a global, regional, and national level on communication projects.
Plan/organize, control, and evaluate your own EURAM communication projects
Support with press work
Creative input and implementation of internal communications
Development and maintenance of communication plans
Support in the organization and management of a European, virtual communications department
Cooperation with and control of external PR, marketing and event agencies
Your qualifications:
You have a university degree or comparable education - preferably in communications or journalism
Ideally, you have already gained your first practical experience, PR agency experience desirable
You like to work in flat hierarchies and with short decision-making paths
You are a real team player and look forward to agile, cross-departmental collaboration
You have good speaking and writing skills in English. Additional European languages desirable
You have a talent for communications, and you are digitally-savvy - preferably a digital native
You want to develop yourself further with us

Willingness to travel across EURAM 10-15% of the time
