VIKING seeks a Compliance Officer

This is an opportunity to become VIKING Life-Saving Equipment’s new Compliance Officer within our Global QHSE, Legal and Academy division (QLA) at our headquarters in Denmark.

About the position
We are looking for an exceptional individual who will be driving our Compliance Management System together with our 3000+ skilled colleagues globally. VIKING operates within the most regulated industry sectors globally hence our Compliance standards are at a very high level.

Our way of working is fast-paced and collaborative, making use of the latest digital tools and best practises within all relevant standards from the automotive, energy and oil & gas industry – all customised for use at VIKING. This also applies to our Compliance Management area.

Your primary responsibilities includes;

• Continuous monitoring of external demands (legal, sanctions, trade barriers, industry etc.)
• Drive and perform “active compliance” based on a defined annual cycle
• Continuously develop VIKING´s ERP compliance structures
• Pro-actively develop and drive awareness across VIKING
• Ensure “early warning” of and compliance with international statutory demands
• Respond to customer / co-partner queries / questionnaires related to compliance
• Support and interact with the internal auditor corpse to ensure joint efforts
• Engage with authorities as relevant and ensure implementation of annual account demands
• Undertake the role as DPO (Data Protection Officer) and similar as required
• Monitor and report on degree of compliance to Group Management

This position is full time and may include up to 20 international travel days a year.

Your background

• Higher level relevant educational background including legal skills
• Preferably 2+ years in a similar position with experience from an international company
• Able to navigate in a global organization with many passionate stakeholders
• Strong capacity to oversee and translate global compliance regulations / standards into effective business fit solutions
• Strongly identify with VIKING´s values and mission.
• Self driven and independent approach
• Strong communicator and able to express yourself fluently in written English, and maybe Danish, German or Spanish as well
