2 student workers to enable the rise of APIs in the LEGO Group

2 student workers to enable the rise of APIs in the LEGO Group

We develop the glue that ties together the IT platform of the LEGO Group and we are looking for talented, innovative students who are passionate about developing – or driving development of – fantastic integration solutions.

Who we are and what we do

In LEGO Business Technology – System Integration and Supporting Technologies we ensure that the LEGO IT platform, that is, all of our systems in our own data center as well as in the public cloud, are integrated, and we provide our IT colleagues with all of the systems that support the development and maintenance processes across the technology stack. We are programmers at heart and we develop both front end and backend web solutions.

We are in the middle of two huge transformations: transitioning into a fully scalable hybrid cloud/on premise setup, and we are working with API enabling our IT landscape both for on premise solutions and serverless solutions and transitioning from a traditional backend organization to an agile organization with autonomous teams delivering in sprints.

Your role

We are looking for 2 student workers to help us in two different areas to support us in embracing the cloud and enabling the rise of APIs in the LEGO Group.

Do you want to put your technical knowledge to use by:

• Developing an integration portal where we will provide our colleagues with all information about integration, including providing a self-service portal for automated integration.

• Tracing information about how our systems are integrated and documenting this for the portal, including understanding how our systems function and how to integrate them.

• Moving systems (i.e. our development platforms) to the cloud.

• Developing APIs, i.e. for accessing our digital marketing assets or HR related information, to enable higher productivity in the organization.

Or maybe you would like to be a driving force by ensuring that we complete our projects by:

• Acting as a mini-project manager on one or some of our many projects.

• Try your strength with the role of a “scrum master” in our team, facilitating stand ups, planning- and retrospective events.

Who we are looking for

We don’t expect you to have extensive prior knowledge! What we are looking for is someone who:

• Wants to be part of developing awesome solutions!

• Has a keen interest in integration & APIs or driving agile development.

• Is self-driven and not afraid of questioning the status quo.

• Does not let the fear of making mistakes get in their way and takes ownership of tasks.

• Is studying a relevant master or professional bachelor’s degree (i.e. software development or engineering).

• Is comfortable communicating in English.

Join the global LEGO® Family

In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment. You will join a collaborative environment, where we will do our utmost to help you develop your talent. Here, you will get to solve tasks from day one and quickly grow valuable practical experience in a supportive learning environment. We fully respect that you are dedicated to your studies. Thus, your working hours will be adapted to this and you may also use the LEGO Group as a case for one of your papers.

If you would like to know more about the position, please call Director Rene Voetmann on +45 30653058.

We look very much forward to hearing from you! Please provide us with your application by sending it to Søren Bering Andersen at and remember to attach your cover letter, a copy of your grades and your CV.
