Professor of Environmental Valuation and Consumer Preferences
Department of Food and Resource Economics
Faculty of Science
University of Copenhagen

The area of environmental valuation and consumer preference elicitation is central to several research activities at the Department of Food and Resource Economics. The professorship will have a strong emphasis on the application of preference elicitation and modeling techniques for e.g., the valuation of non-market environmental goods and services, and analysis of consumer preferences for food products with environmental attributes, like novel food product types, food safety and food production techniques applied along the production chain.

The professor is expected to join in and lead research activities, often interdisciplinary, focused on improving methods and applications, aiming to increase validity and reliability of results and provide better decision advice for decision makers. The professor will also be actively engaged in providing policy oriented research and research based advice within the wider research field of the professorship.
