3 student assistants in Atmospheric Modelling (958867)

We are looking for 3 student assistants to support our section of Atmospheric Modelling, Department of Environmental Science at Aarhus University, located at Risø near Roskilde. (http://envs.au.dk/en/about-the-department/sections/atmospheric-modeling/) 
 
You will be a part of a team of scientists working with modelling of air pollution transport and chemistry on a wide range of problems: from global climate change to micro-scale air pollution at your home address and related health effects of air pollution. 
 
The positions cover support with data handling, smaller programming tasks in R, Fortran, SQL or Visual Basic, work with GIS data in ArcGIS or QGIS, validation of models with measurements etc. Furthermore, the positions can include support with organizing workshops and meetings. Knowledge in some of the mentioned topics is an advantage. 
 
We offer a flexible employment that in periods leaves you with plenty of time for your exams, but then we also expect you to be ready to work more when we have particular many deadlines. On average the working time is 10-15 hours a week.

Salary and terms as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Union of Commercial and Clerical Employees in Denmark/State (HK/Stat) for clerical staff, laboratory technicians and IT employees and the joint collective agreement concluded between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Organisations of Public Employees - Denmark - Danish State Sector (the OAO-S joint collective agreement).
