Additive Manufacturing Design Specialist

Do you want to be the design expert who helps us develop and mature 3D printing to make it a future production technology in Grundfos?

 

Then join our team of 6 highly skilled experts and shape your own role to make additive manufacturing (AM) all it can be 5-10 years from now. We have the support from top management and a challenging and very exciting role waiting for you.

 

Join a skilled team

In the AM team, we break new ground and collaborate closely with Business Development and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering to establish 3D printing as the future production technology in Grundfos. We are doing both prototypes and production equipment with the full support of our top management.

 

Help us design and define production equipment

Overall, your role is to design the parts we need. This means that you mature and qualify AM designs for future production and play a key role in the Design for Additive Manufacturing journey in Grundfos. To do so, you participate in numerous design projects focusing on production development and production equipment. This includes:

 

  • Acting as the expert on the AM design including redesigns
  • Collaborating closely with our Technology and Innovation organization on cross-functional projects linking product development and production development
  • Optimising and qualifying current and future AM designs for production
  • Setting the direction and ambition for the development within AM design together with the management team

 

Innovative AM design specialist

  • You hold a master’s degree in engineering or similar
  • You are familiar with innovation and CAD design (preferably Catia)
  • You have some experience with AM design as well as mechanical or mould tool design
  • You communicate effortlessly in English

 

Creativity, innovation and fast learning. These are some of the traits you will need to help us to explore the full potential of 3D printing. Yes, you deliver quality solutions, and you really like to collaborate, but you can also turn things upside down, challenge conventions and listen to colleagues near and far to help them by using AM to circumvent the limitations we are used to.
